Zaman fue uno de los últimos compañeros que tuve ocasión de conocer . Estudiaba un máster  de economía en la Escuela más prestigiosa de la ciudad, con una beca del gobierno Indio. Zaman was one of the last workmates I had the chance to meet. He was studying an MBA at the best city University, he had got a grant from the Indian Government.

Tenía esposa e hijos. Desde el primer momento hicimos buenas migas. Le encantaban los deportes, especialmente el cricket y el fútbol. He was married and he had two kids. Our friendship begun from the first time we started to work together.

Era muy forofo y seguía todos los partidos de la liga española. Se declaraba un enamorado del Barça. Era muy bueno con las quinielas, solía acertar entre 13 y 14 de 15, dependiendo de la semana… He was a football supporter and he used to follow all the Spanish League matches. He had fallen in love with the Barça. He was really good making wagers, he used to hit 13 over 15, depending on the week…

Siempre andaba metido en otras historias. Se apuntó a un programa de capacitación para cuidar a adultos y consiguió sacarlo adelante. Tenía una mentalidad emprendedora y eso le hacía mirar siempre hacia el futuro. Era comercial y su beneficio lo sacaba de los márgenes. Conocía empresarios Indios e intentaba colocar sus productos en el mercado Europeo. He was always planning something else, making plans, making business... He made the decision of registering (enrolling) in a course for elder caring and he past it. He was very entrepreneur, always looking to the horizon of the future. He was an international seller and used to make money from the commercial margin, from the borders. He had some Indian enterprise links that were trying to land in the European market.

Zaman vivía holgadamente en Inglaterra, incluso le pagaban un par de viajes de ida y vuelta a casa al año. Su Inglés era muy bueno, había sacado un 7,5 en el AIELS, uno de esos test oficiales de idiomas. Zaman was living comfortably in England, even his government paid for him several go & return tickets to visit his home. His English was very good, he had a 7,5 mark in the AIELS, one of those official language tests worldwide recognized.

Decía que en Inglaterra hacía mucho frío. Echaba de menos su país, quería terminar sus estudios y volver a casa, volver a su hogar; a aquel hogar, cerquita de Chennai, del que Akeel también tan bien hablaba. He used to say me that England was very cold. He missed his country, he only wanted to finish his studies and go back home, go back to India, close to Chennai, that home which Akeel was always talking about.
