A WORD-FISHER MAN

Love Hold On

A word-fisher is an ancient, old craft; still remaining in certain places of the world.Once, time ago, I had the chance to meet one of those word-fisher men.

(...) It was my day-off and I decided to hit the town to buy something in the open market that used to take place in the town center twice a week, just a couple of days. The sky was quite dark that morning, grey enough to keep walking without stopping too much. Suddenly the rain started to fall over the streets till cover completly the asphalt carpet so I looked for a shelter under the ceiling of a nearby fruit-stall. It was raining for so long that the drops started to fall down into against our heads so I decided to move to the indoor gallery, trying to get away from the dampness.

I started to talk to my shade, because there was nobody else there, apart from me and my self...

You know what...?

I had caught a proper cold. Keep calm... No rush, there is no reason to run, you can spend some time just by watching at the shop-windows, have some fun-challenge searching for a bargain... What about buying a new umbrela? May be... Let me think about it...

The inside of the gallery was quite open, the sound of the rain hitting the glass-roof sounds to me like a piano concert; like corn-seeds popping in the pan... It was amazing, no words to describe such a wonderful feeling, when outside its raining but you can keep dry inside; - at least for a while -...

There were many shops in the gallery but it was only one which caught my attention. Definitively, I felt lucky because I had taken the correct path. In front of a wooden bench, besides the kiosk, just behind the light there was a different shop, an Old-press full of posters, pictures, postcards, books... colour, just colours...

I said... Hiya, I am a folder-maker

What?

Yes, a folder-maker; I design and make folders by hand, by my-self

(...) That was the begining of something magic, otherwise, just life, meeting people, sharing life with wonferful people...

I felt a lucky man...

My friend Tony, Tony Wright, apart of that; my friend, who he is; is an incredible Word-Fisher, one of my favourite song-writters, someone able to fish the words from the clouds, from the surrounding air, from the daylight, from the silence of the night; generous enough to share the secrets he have hidden under its pillow to write the lyrics of a handful of songs to create a new álbum; an álbum under his own name, from the very deep of his soul

My friend is really brave...

It is amazing

I love it
