De vuelta a mi barrio; al barrio donde vivía, Sparkhill, me topé con la sorpresa de ver algunas de esas flores colgadas; o mejor dicho, tendidas de uno de loscables de teléfono; como si fueran banderolas de esas que cuelgan en las calles de los pueblos en fiestas. By the way, while I was going back to the neighborhood where I was living by that time; Sparkhill, I discovered surprisingly some of those flowers hanged from, or better said, hanged up from the telephone wire, as if they were some of those little party flags adorning the village streets on Summer festivity.

Me acerqué con sigilo, pero cuando quise atrapar uno de ellos sirviéndome del palo de la escoba, levantaron el vuelo ayudados por una oportuna ráfaga de viento. The washing line was just in one of the laterals, protected from the shady north. One morning, when I was going to take the peg basket, I meet with a flock of umbrellas resting on the wire. El más rezagado, terminó posándose sobre el alféizar de la ventana de James; un English man, mi compañero de piso, my home-mate, que no reparó en su presencia. James no usaba paraguas, no tanto por el hecho de no tenerlo, sino porque la relación de los ingleses con la naturaleza es mucho más directa. The most latecomer, decided to stop onto the Jame´s window sill; an English man, my home-mate, who did not take notice of this. James did not use umbrella, but not just because he had no one, but because the relationship between English people and Nature is much more direct than ours.

La lluvia in England, no es sólo algo que tenga que ver con la climatología, no es sólo un fenómeno meteorológico, sino una cuestión cultural, que trasciende mucho más allá del mero hecho de emplear o no paraguas, de lo que dice el parte del tiempo matutino; el forecast, que allí, es tanto o más, palabra de Dios.
